Please note when viewing high quality gemstones on the net there are certain limitations:

  1. Most monitors display images at varying dots per inch (dpi) and are not color-corrected.
  2. GIF and JPEG formats compromise quality.
  3. Internet browsers can only "see" 216 of 256 colors.
Since every system, browser, and monitor is different, we don't know if what you and we see are the same.

NGC Comment: Carat sized unheated gem Burma sapphires are almost impossible to buy. This stone is a vivid color at 70% blue. The tone is a light 85 tone or 80-85, or technically an 82.5. The saturated color makes the Burmese inclusions difficult to see. The stone has good cutting and finish. The stone has a high 80-90% brilliancy. This gem would be beautiful mounted or a great gemstone for a collector.
