Please note when viewing high quality gemstones on the net there are certain limitations:

  1. Most monitors display images at varying dots per inch (dpi) and are not color-corrected.
  2. GIF and JPEG formats compromise quality.
  3. Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers can only "see" 216 of 256 colors.
Since every system, browser, and monitor is different, we don't know if what you and we see are the same.

NGC Comment: This is a rare emerald cut top color unheated Ceylon sapphire. The 70% blue rock is a 3.5/80. The stone is a light 80 because the color rating/tone is 75-80. The gem is really clean at LI1-LI2. You cannot see any inclusions with your eyes. The cutting is high, the finish is good, the depth is ideal and the brilliancy is an ultra high 80-90%. A killer collector gem already mounted in platinum jewelry with almost 2.5 carats of diamonds. This is a serious jewelry piece or a great stone to own if you collect unheated rocks.
