NGC Comment: A rare round carat size Namibian Mandarin Orange garnet. Many dealers are incorrectly selling Nigerian orange garnets as Mandarins. Only the goods from Namibia are true Mandarins. The gemstone is a bright, vivid orange and eye clean. Of course, garnets are not normally unenhanced. Production of this material has practically ceased. These gems are what every orange diamond wished it looked like. An excellent gemstone to collect for a client on a budget or could also be mounted in jewelry.
