NGC Comment: A rare cushion Nigerian Orange garnet. Although these Nigerian stones are not as pure orange as the Namibian Mandarin Orange garnets, they tend to come larger, are cut better, have more brilliancy or life, and are cleaner. Production of this material is diminishing. These gems are what every orange diamond wished it looked like. An excellent gemstone to collect for a client on a budget or could also be mounted in jewelry.
