1.60 Colombian Emerald

Description
This Colombian emerald has a beautiful combination of color and tone. The emerald is 65% primary green color with a medium 65 tone. This gives the stone an electric green color in any light. The proportion and finish numbers are good. The depth is slightly high but the brilliancy is a high 80%. Like most emeralds during that period of time, the reports shows moderate treatment. However, the price would be dramatically higher if the rock was untreated. Back in 1987, treated Colombian emeralds were totally acceptable to collectors. Grading report signed by Cap Beesley, also. A serious gemstone for a collector portfolio or imagine this stone mounted in an upscale jewelry piece.
