7.76 Oval "Color Shift" Madagascar Garnet

Description
A rare red to purple "color shift" Madagascar garnet. This stone is very large. Most of this material is rarely over 4 carats. The red is similar to a light red spinel or ruby and the purple is similar to a Rhodolite Garnet. Some dealers may call this stone a "color change" garnet, but we believe "color shift" is more accurate. Whatever the name, this stone is ultra-rare. The gemstone is extremely clean at LI clarity. The stone has the high brilliancy and very good cutting and finish. Of course, these garnets are not enhanced. An interesting gemstone to collect or a different stone to mount in jewelry since the production of this material has practically ceased.
