The infamous Burmese Ruby Tiara was made in 1973 by the House of Garrard. The Queen used Burma rubies from her 1947 wedding to Prince Phillip. The Burmese intentionally gave her 96 rubies to protect her from what they believe are 96 different illnesses. Given her present 95 years, the Burmese may be on to something.
